August 7: Blues on the Green

August 8: Sip & Shop

August 9: Texas TAX FREE day
State of Texas
During this annual sales tax holiday, you can buy most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (sold for less than $100) tax free from a Texas store or from an online or catalog seller doing business in Texas. In most cases, you do not need to give the seller an exemption certificate to buy qualifying items tax free.

August 14: Sound & Cinema "10 Things I Hate About You" w/ Walker Lukens

August 24: 15th Annual Bat Festival
Congress Bridge
What will you see at Bat Fest this year? 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats emerging from under the bridge at dusk, 2 stages with live music, more than 50 arts & crafts vendors, delicious food and drinks, fun children’s activities, a bat costume contest and other bat activities.

August 25: Free Day of Dance
