Hey there, it's Gene Arant with Keller Williams Realty. Just wanted to share a quick market update on the Austin area. 

We've crunched the numbers for March, and it looks like sales have dipped by about 8% compared to this time last year. Prices have pretty much held steady, with the average sale price currently sitting at $465,000. The good news is that we've seen a surge in activity recently.

In the last two weeks, we've listed 11 homes on the market, and nine of those are already under contract. Buyers have taken notice of the slight uptick in interest rates but are still eager to make a move. So, if you're thinking of buying, now might be the time to act before prices rise. We're expecting a 5% appreciation in the Austin area for 2024.
