Hey there, it’s Gene Arant with Keller Williams Realty. We’ve got the August numbers for the Central Texas market, and I’d like to share what’s happening in Austin and the surrounding areas.

Home prices have dipped slightly compared to last month, but they’re almost exactly where they were this time last year. The bigger change we’re seeing is in the number of sales—down about 15%. We had around 1,950 homes sold this past month, compared to 2,300 homes sold in August of last year.
