Spreading the Love of Reading | National Read Across America Day

National Read Across America Day is an annual event celebrated on March 2nd to promote reading and literacy among children. Our team was thrilled to be a part of this special day and contribute to the cause by volunteering at Steiner Ranch Elementary School. We spent the day reading to the students and sharing our love for books and reading.

As a team, we strongly believe that reading is one of the most important skills that children can learn. Reading not only helps children develop their vocabulary and language skills but also helps them to explore new worlds and ideas, expand their imagination, and develop empathy for others.

Our team arrived at Steiner Ranch Elementary School early in the morning, armed with a variety of books that we had carefully selected for the different age groups. The students were excited to see us, and we were thrilled to be there.

We were split into groups and assigned to different classrooms, where we spent the next few hours reading to the students. The children were engaged and enthusiastic, asking questions about the stories and sharing their own experiences with us. It was heartwarming to see their faces light up as they discovered new books and characters.

After the reading session, we had a discussion with the students about the importance of reading and how it can benefit them in their personal and academic lives. We also shared tips on how they can make reading a fun and enjoyable activity.
