Austin, TX Market Update | September 2022

Looking back at the real estate statistics from August, we see a few trends continue.

Prices are still up compared to last year; however, sales continue to drop while days on the market and inventory rise.

Even with these changes, we're still in a seller's market overall--we're just normalizing more from an extreme seller's market.

I've noticed that most homes going under contract and selling are in excellent condition or have had substantial updates made to them.

With this in mind, if you plan to put your house on the market, I encourage you to make the necessary upgrades to sell. As we swing closer to a buyers market, condition becomes much more vital.

Due to the increased inventory, buyers have more options than they have had in previous months and years.
